My wife and I attended a vacation package seminar held at the Holiday Inn Hotel in Tarpon Springs Florida By The All Points Accommodations Vacation Agency.
After the presentation ended, we sat with agent Janice Crowder. We showed some interest, and she attempted to pressured to act that day as this offer made was only available for that presentation day.
Advised her that I would not make any immediate decissions. Would need a couple of days to absorb this information and read literature presented to us. To hold the rate offered, we agreed to put the required down payment through our credit card, which was to be held untill we returned to confirm our commitment. I Asked Janice twice if this vacation package had anything to do with Time Shares, and was assured both times "Not at all", and she presented with the free cruise certificates given to everyone, just for attending this seminar.
Within two days we called and met with Janice at the same location. We could not understand what the rush was about as another seminar was in progress with the same incentives and cruise certificates issued. We again advised our concerns to her about possible time share connection, which I did not want. She
enlisted the support from a senior sales manager, who assured us of no time share connection. They had special arrangements with high class resorts due to their volume of business.
There was no mention of Time Shares in presentation or in Company litterature. With this information and their assurance, we accepted the Vacation Package as offered. However, after a time, we were unable to gain any info from web site or secure a date or location for a mini vacation we were considering. I decided to Withhold further payments since we were unable to receive a satisfactory response from Company.
Called their office for a face to face meeting, and met with Ramos Saucedo. Given a number of lame reasons about web site unavailability, and no availability at this time, as were not making payments. The big shock came when he announced that all dates and hotel rooms requested revolved around time share avilabilties at selected resorts. He was very aware that I was furious about being lied to and misrepressented as to the program benefits. Mr Salcaucedo just shrugged it off as we agreed to and signed to their terms as offered, and would hold us to it.
We were lied to, decieved and robbed of our hard earned money. Mr. Saulcedo was futher able to (unaware to me) have my wife send another payment after our meeting under the threat and fear of pending legal action if we did not honor agreement which she signed. I forwarded the cruise certificates within the required time along with reqired check to receive our vouchers. We never
did receive our free cruise vouchers, and the checks were never cashed.
We Were Ripped Off Big Time.
