Advantage America
Freecreditreport.com Goverment Grant ripoff

Let's start from the beginning. I was getting repeated calls for months about qualifying for a government grant. I repeatly stated I did not want a grant and would hang up on them.

Finally on 9/22/05 I decided I would listen to the crap and play along. It was really amazing how many times they repeat the words free Grants. The lady said her name was Jenny Jones. Most foreign women do not have names like that.

They asked where I banked and I played along. I gave them a false bank name. They actually looked it up somehow and wanted me to verify my account number. I advised I did not have my info available. She was persistent on calling me later so she can get the number.

I played along and she called back promptly at 9 P.M. Like I asked her to do. After talking for awhile and me giving all kinds of fake info I am about sick to my stomach with this garbage. I started messing with the female asking personal questions. The manager gets on the phone and gives me the exact same sales pitch.

After awhile I tell him I am a federal agent and he should open the door before we kick it down. I heard in the background all kinds of confusion. They where in a panic. With my cell phone I can record conversations. I have everything on tape. I do not recommend playing along like I did. You really do not know who you are messing with and where they are located.

A few hours later I was on the internet trying to find info on this scam company. Usacomplaints.com had all kinds of complaints. I emailed Eric (owner). He responded right away. After talking for awhile I asked him how they might have even got my cell phone number.

His first question was did you ever get a free credit report online. I answered yes I did. I filled out a form on freecreditreport.com. I was amazed. The company is selling our info to people over seas to scam us. I guess nothing is free.

I was told along time ago a saying that is definitely true. Free things always cost too much.in this case that's true. I could have been scammed out of everything I own. I suggest to anyone who gets a similar call to just say right away I am not interested and hang up.
