My husband and I were contacted by Advantage America stating that they would give us 12,500 for filing our taxes on time for the past 10 years and all we had to do is pay 49.95 one time and the money would go to our bank within two hours. My husband listened to everything that was said and agreed to this.
This week so far they have taken a total of 800.00 from our checking account. When we called them to ask what was going on they simply told us that this is what we agreed to. When we said we wanted our money back they told us no and hung up.
After two more calls to them we were told that they would continue to take money from our account as agreed to in the amounts of 19.95 and 49.95 per month.
My husband said that this was not agreed to and they told him "oh well you shouldn't have given us permission in the first place then." the agent then hung up.
Since this phone conversation we have tried to contact this company several times without any luck. And our bank has told us there is no chance of getting this money back since it was authorized.
