Stamps.com
Charges twice if you cancel, ripoff!

I have just got to start checking out any company on this website, that sends me special offers in the mail. But in my defense, they seem to be endorsed by the US Postal Service.

I also want to inform the USPS that Stamps.com is deceptive in their advertising and their offers. For $15.99 a month you get nothing that you can't get free from the USPS website. A few online stamps and a cheap plastic scale. After that you pay for every service plus a monthly service fee of $15.99 - and get this! Just try to cancel. You get charged for the next month too. I am cancelling but I have to pay for July and August. Plus their phone representives are rude. I could not talk to the one I got because she was insulting.

I had already had a problem on my Charge card of another company double billing me and causing the account to go overlimit, just at the time for Stamps.com to take out their fee. So, of course it was declined and I was considering cancelling anyway so that clinched it and I called to cancel.

Explained the problem with the Charge which I am getting straightened out. That is when the witch lit into me about my bum charge card, which they had not had a problem with for two previous months. I said I wanted to cancel anyway because I am not getting any service that I can't get free except printing stamps at my computer, but I can buy them ahead at the post office.

She asked in a insulting tone of voice, "Where are you going to get any of the services free?" I told her, the USPS website, Ebay and Paypal. Then she said I will owe $31.98 to cancel because I have to pay for August too. I objected but finally said send me a bill because I do not want to use my credit card online any longer after the problems I have had.

My account is still at the limit even though the nice man at Capital One removed the overlimit fee, I still haven't gotten my refund on the other double bill. So, she agreed that they will send me a bill in the mail and I will pay them by check.

That was yesterday and the today I get an email from them stating that they tried to deduct $31.98 from my account but it was denied. These people are very un-businesslike and they will lie to you.
