The letter I received states: This is a day you may remember for the rest of your life - and yes I think I will. LVAAP states that I am the winner of $3,341, 006.00 cash prize of a sweepstakes I had entered. Out of 4 winners listed, my name was listed first and was shown to be the only one uncollected. For $20, to pay processing fees, I would have it on record that I had not received any monies from this prize.
My question is—how did these people get my name and address to send me this bogus letter? How did they know I had ever entered a sweepstakes or drawing? Someone (individual or company) has to be involved in both a legitimate sweepstakes offer and this ripoff company, or is being supplied information regarding sweepstakes entries that are legitimate. That may be a new question that should be addressed.
