When I first contacted United Financial Systems, I was struggling with too much debt, though I was current on all payments. This company promised to cut my interest, and make all payments for me and they would withdraw funds from my account each month to do this.
United Financial Systems promised to contact my creditors with proposals, end late fees and lower interest rates. They promised to keep in touch with me and that if I committed to their program I would be debt free in 36-40 months.
United Financial Systems kept the first lump sum payment for their own use, thereby putting my debt 30 days past due.
After they had done this, they then suggested that I pay my bills, but they had withdrawn the amount I usually pay for my bills from my account—how many people can make two payments of that size?
United Financial Systems has not kept in touch with my creditors, or submitted proposals to them, even though they continued to deduct money from my account. They are not available via telephone, and the only time I got them to return my call was when I finally paid a fee to stop the automatic withdrawel from my account.
My credit, which was in very good shape before I decided to consilidate, is now ruined.
I was courted by a debt counselor who promised me that all my troubles would be solved, and now my situation is FAR worse than it was to begin.
DO NOT let companies like this trick you into believing that they will help. This company is approved by the BBB, and has a.org address — it means NOTHING. It is the worst financial decision I have ever made, and I will suffer the consequences of this business dealing for many years as I try to repair the credit that United Financial Systems destroyed.
