Complaint / Review
First Nation Government Grant, First National Grant
Ripoffs, scam artists, liars North Carolina

On 4-26-05, I called the 800 number and spoke with 'Lisa', hoping to 'validate' their company that is giving out the grants, as I was told on the call I received that got all this started. Lisa told me that the $29.95 they charge is for their program, which teaches you how to apply for grants, that what I claim I was told was not true. She stated that if that is what I was told, then their employee grossly misrepresented the company and what it was all about. I let her know in no uncertain terms how unhappy I was to find them in this website as a fraudulent company.

She said that their name is First National Grants... Totally different than the one listed here. She played the recording I listened to at the first phone call where I authorized them to be able to be paid the fee for processing the direct deposit of the 110% guaranteed grant in the amount of $12,500.00. The only thing the recording states is just that I am allowing them to take that amount from my account and at the very end it tells me that when I receive my letter, there will be an offer inside for me to apply to receive money every year and that offer would cost me $299.95, but I was not obligated in any way to purchase that offer and I could call their 800 number to cancel immediately so I won't be charged that against my bank account.

I still have not received their 'welcome' letter with all the offers inside, but I did call the 800 number the first lady gave me with her grant pitch, Easy One Rate phone plan that gives me unlimited long distance calling, for a flat fee.

The fellow I talked to there, very happily cancelled my trial period of 30 days, which Lisa says is 10, for $9.95, with monthly fee of $49.95 thereafter if I kept the plan. I asked him about First National Government Grant and he said he knew nothing other than his company allowed them to 'sell' their phone plan with their grants.

I gave him this website to look up what they really are just so he would know what his company was affiliated with and how it makes his comany look. I called my bank and they are on the watch for that debit to come in on the wire, and when it does they are going to trace them and first off get my money back, then prosecute them for fraud, with my help and your website's help, because I am printing everything out.

Lisa informed me today that they WILL take that money from me and that there is nothing I can do about it. I told her just go ahead and try to take that money and watch what happens. I asked for a supervisor or manager or owner of her company and she stated that no one was present that was in any of those positions. I told her she was just calling me from her home out of a phone book and getting money fraudulently. When you first call that 800 number, the woman's voice in the recording that tells you all reps are busy and to hold, is the very same woman who called me in the first place and told me I had money coming, etc, etc. Lisa is not the same woman, different voice, but they both have accents.
Well, good luck to everyone that gets tangled up in this, and I really do hope there really will be a class action lawsuit against those people. Easy money is what they are about and they are getting lots of it. I hate that I was stupid enough to fall for it myself, but, things happen.
