Was contacted by the Money Store in June 1994, promised better percentage on mortgage. Original loan w / Ford Consumer was 11.9% promised w/signed contract 9.84%conventional loan..
After two years company disappeared from state had to spend money to find them. Found company in New Jersey, never contacted us about move. They lied said they did.
Search took 2 months they were starting forcloser on us. Cost us thousands of dollars to save home. Said taxes and insurance wasn't paid correctly had to add to loan pay monthly payments.
This increased our mortgage payments by 300.00 a month. Went on until on or about late 1997... They disappeared again had to search again to find them no contact from them.
To no avail we could not find them. Early 1998 we recieved a letter from HomeEq stating we were in violation of contract and behind in monthly payments. Starting forcloser again.
Dates on this complaint could be a tad off... Again costs us thousands of dollars to save our home. No contact from Money Store from then on like they disappeared from the face of the Earth.
Ever since then we have been paying through the nose to keep our home. They are rude, money grubbing people. We have no contract with them they never told us how they got our mortgage.
When you ask why, when they tell you they don't have to explain. Their fees i have never heard off. You can't pay early or your payment don't count they take it for made up fees..
Original loan we had w / Ford would of been paid off in due to THe Money Store lieing to us we may never pay it off. Original loan 81,000.00 in 1994, loan now exceeding 76,000.00 2005..
There is no way in this mixed up world that this company can be obeying laws of state. The harrassment alone cannot be legal. Every year they come up with a new bill for thousands of dollars we have to pay or go into forcloser.
They told us that we make x dollars a month and they know they can charge us because we have extra money. Come on we don't medicine alone for me is $300 a month. It is none of their business what we make.
WE have had many things happen to us as a family, this is a nightmare, we cannot refinance because we couldn't afford to keep the house up because this company is draining us.
Due to the stress this company has put us through i am on disability. Have had a few heart attacks and cancer and stress related illnesses. They won't quit, this year alone and it is early March we have paid $1500 more then supposse to.
PLease if there is a lawyer or firm out there that can help us and many, many others please audit this company and help us. This is cruel and unusual punishment for humans. Where did these people come from, why are they still in business. Thank You, there is so much more about them cannot write it all down.
