We took a loan with a local mortgage company. They in turn sold our loan 2-3 times. We ended up with HomeEq. I tried numerous times to pay our loan over the phone, I could not get a hold of a person to help us. If we were late, they would add on fees beyond what we could afford. The beginning of last year, I called because I was getting late fees along with notice of unpaid premiums. When I called, they stated I was 1 month behind. I would have had to go back 5 years to find the mistake. I could not find. We in turn lost our home to HomeEq. It has been tramatic for the whole family, including our children. They should not be allowed to add fees like drive by fees. When I would call to pay premium, they would tell me I had an additional $1200.00 for Attorney fees to ride by our house to see if it was in good shape. HomeEq is a terrible company.
