On january 19 I discovered that this company was debiting my account $14.95 since August 1, I was raving mad. I called them and requested a refund because i had never authorized this deduction or ever profited from the charge and was unaware of the company or what it offered.
They told me that they provided discount certificates of some sort for different resturants and stores. I said well where is my discount information and they said it was sent out, i said i've never received anything of the sort and i want my money back and close this bogus account.
They also told me time life gave them my information or i ordered something from timelife and was offered their service and excepted it at that point i noted to call them and give them apiece of my mind and i did and told them to take out any information they had on me and never call or send me anything else from their company timelife that is. So i said to simple escapes, i want what evidence you have stating that i have authorized your company to draft my account and they said they had it on tape i said i want to hear it and of course they never provided that and would only refund the last payment of $14.95.
I said do you mean to tell me you have pulled 14.95 out of my account for 6 months and as you can see i have not used this account and was unaware of it's exsistance and you still refuse to refund my money they said yes and of course i lost it at that point and i said you will refund my money when i'm finished with you.
And knowing i was not going to get anywhere with them because i wasn't about to hire an attorney for the lost of 80 bucks so i called my bank and told them that i didn't authorize these charges and was unaware of the company alltogether and they refunded me every single dime and launched and investigation into that fraudulent company simple escapes and after a few weeks guess what appeared in my account a refund from simple escapes for every single charge that they made to my account and that bank is wachovia they don't play. So whatever i couldn't accomplish they did and i will never bank with another bank because they handled their business and not only did they give me a refund for the money them selves they launched an investigation and got simple escapes to give me a refund as well and that was sweet revenge.
So my advise to anyone that works for a living and don't have the capitol to go after these crooks put it in the hands of your bank because they have the means and the muscle that you do not and if the bank your banking with doesn't, take every dime you have in that bank out and go to wachovia.
