On the surface the Ellipsis program is outstanding. The concept is very appealing and could be a dynamic marketing tool for Mortgage Brokers.
One problem, the company is awfull! It is more of a bait and switch scheme than any thing. They tell you one thing and then things start to change. The rules start to get more restrictive. Their people suddenly have short term memory problems. They stop answering the phone, taking days to get back to you. The person that has the answer to your question will call you back, etc.
Here's the deal. It is very expensive, (if your a broker then you have already heard their pitch and have an idea of what it is all about) they promise the world and give you one of saturns moons. There is not enough space and time to go fully into what a true con this really is.
The Web site is great, the marketing materials are beautiful and the concept is outstanding. But that is it. No service, they do not deliver on their promises, they change the rules and its all to get you to spend more money. Example: When we first got into the program the trips that we purchased had no expiration date other than they had to be used within 18 mths.
After 2 months of being in the program they changed the company for which they purchased the trips from too their own, Aqua. Now all of a sudden they have to be given away within 90 days and registered with Aqua before that 90th day is up or the trip is not good. We were told not to worry about it that if we had not given away the trips prior to the 90 days to simply return them and they would be replaced at no charg. Ok, we had trips that were going to expire so we were going to send them back, Guess what? Now they have changed again and their new policy is not to exchange them, you have to buy new ones and the old ones are no longer any good. W
Hat! So if you have thirty trips and only use some of them within that 90days the rest of them are not good and you have just lost as much as $280.00 per trip depending on how many you initally bought. The whole idea of this thing was that Ellipsis would get you in touch with realtors that were interested in co-marketing with you using this concept to sell more houses and getting you more loans. They have kids calling these realtors (when and if they do) to set these appointments up for you which is a complete joke.
Remember you are buying into this thing for the realtors the rest of it is icing. You are trying to build realtionships with these realtors and these Ellipsis folks are supposed to prequalify them for you, get them pre-disposed to your marketing plan. Never happens. They promise unlimited appointements with realtors as many as you can go on. Joke! But it gets better. Now another change, (remember, they promise you all of the realtor appointments that you can go on) the only way that they will make you more than 4 appointments a month now, is if you buy, You Gussed It! MORE TRIPS!!!
Its all about you buying trips, period. They just do not deliver on their promises. You can try and talk to them until your blue in the face! Please if you are considering this Don't! It cost $26,000.00 to get in with a monthly maintenence fee of $800.00 then you have to buy the trips.By the way, you can go straight to the company that they used to buy their trips from and get the same EXACT trips for $78.00 a piece!
Minivacations.com, just ask them about Ellipsis. I know of at least 13 other Brokers that have joined us in pursuing legal action against these people. Just don't do it!
