I started a graduate program in Special Education with the University of Phoenix Online in August. After obtaining a job the school district informed me that I could not be emergency certified through Michigan if I was going to the University of Phoenix.
UofP tried to convince me that there should be no problem with the classes that I am taking and that they are accredited through Michigan.
Meanwhile, the Michigan Education Association says that I have to either transfer colleges to one that is in Michigan or resign within the next week. Because of this I have wasted time and money on my Masters Degree and am now without a job in education. I feel that I have been cheated out of a lot by the University and hope to receive some, if not total compensation for my loses.
