This is online photo print provider is running much more that a business of just printing your photographs. It is running a big scam, of giving your Credit Card and address information to third parties without your knowledge.
On the 27th of Nov. I ordered some photo prints from Snapfish.com. I used my credit card to make the payments and eventually got my photo's on time. Recently when I was checking my credit card statement I saw that I had been billed for 9.95$ from a company called AP9 Galleria, CT USA on the 27th of Dec. I distinctly remembered not using my credit cards since I was traveling outside the country. When I called the people of AP9 to dispute the charge, they told me that they were a discount chain and that I had been in rolled onto their program from a pop up on Snapfish.com.
Now I have a pop-up blocker installed on my computer and there was not way in this world that I would enroll in a discount chain program! Obviously there was something more fishy to this story.
When I called Snapfish at their customer help desk, this girl tells me that I was not the first one to complain about this and although she knew about this fraud that Snapfish had been running, she could not really do much about it. I was aghast when she told me that even if I didn't clicked anything, then also Snapfish would enroll my to a monthly program of some 3rd party, without my info. This program would be free for the first month and then they would start billing me. All the while I would NOT know who is 3rd party is until my credit card statement shows up.
It is really hard to believe that some on can run a scam of this organized fashion in which two companies are involved in Ripping off the consumer.
I definitely plan to make myself heard to whatever platform necessary to stop these people from robbing the consumer.
