I was hired at WILLOWCREEK CHILD CARE CENTER in Sandy, Utah. The first day I realized how awful this center was. I had worked at a daycare before that was wonderful so I had something to compare it to but anyone with eyes could see this place was for-profit and thats all they cared about. On my very first day I was left alone all day long with 20 kids. I didn't know there names, rountine, etc. The director, Irene literally screamed at a child when he spilled his milk at lunch. She made 3 little girls cry because they weren't standing still enough when they were in-line for the bathroom. She told me and this is a quote, "You have to whip them into shape" All day long I heard and saw the directors, Shelly and Irene degrade and humiliate the children. Needless to say I have since quit.
