Ipoff Hey, here's a tip, get a real job and make an honest buck, cause you aint gettin mine

Ok, This is like report # 1,000:)

I would just like to register my report here.

I setup dial up service early October this year. I was on the net for about a week without any firewall or spyware. Well, it wasnt long until I noticed my Internet Connection switching from AT&T (my ISP) to some weird name. I assumed at first that it was my AT&T ISP redirecting my connection to a hub that isnt as busy. I didnt even think that it could be a virus or a Trojan? However, I was kinda suspicious so I didnt allow it to connect for very long when it happened.

All's well until late November when I received a bill for $400!!! I try to contact them to dispute the charges but the number I called told me that it would redirect to another number and that it would cost me $4. That seemed odd, So I emailed them, and after reading THIS site, I realized I got the same email everyone else did explaining that it is impossible to connect to their service without 2 instances of verification and a 2 minute lag to insure no unwilling party is connected.

All while sometime in there I did realize what and where my computer was dialing. I had loaded up ad-aware and it found their dialer.

I don't need to go into too many detials, cause if youre reading this, you already know whats going on. However I have noticed a few things. First, all charges are 6 min intervals, that ive seen. Second, on my bill, 5 calls were made within a 10 minute period, charged for 6 minutes for each call. How can you fit 30 minutes of charges into 10 minutes? Especially when they say that they allow 2 minutes free to allow time for someone to disconnect. Kinda fishy...

And last but not least, When will someone with the right connections realize that if you go through the correct course of action, these people will discontinue to use this company name and invent another before you can do anything about it? Do you not think that these people are the same people who were behind Intercosmos media Group, national One telecom and One Web Bill Direct? (ive been doing a lot of research today)

Does anyone even think this company is legit? I dont have anything against adult entertainment, however, I do question any service of that kind that charges $5 a minute. Hello, who's going to WILLFULLY accept those charges???

I've called several people and I still havent received any advice on how to take care of this bill and save my name. Since they threaten to turn you over to a collection agency, thanks, thats a 4th party involved now that I've gotta haggle with.

To me? This company and the people who own this company is the basis for this fraud. I dont believe for one minute that they have ANY legit business. Just look at their FAQ page, whats the old saying, if you look guilty you must be guilty? Somehting like that. There are questions and answers on there that shouldnt be on there at all if they didn't know that they were a basis for a scam. They defend themselves without any accusation. If they cared one bit about the consumer they would make sure that all services are verified and authorized and they would admit that yes, their services can be accessed by a virus dialer without the computer owner knowing.

Another thing. Why would someone install a virus dialer on my computer when THIS company is the only one profiting??? Just a question not an accusation but I'm sure they would be quick with the defense. Hey, here's a tip, get a real job and make an honest buck, cause you aint gettin mine.
