General motor Transmission problem

GMC, well they can't fix their own vehicles. My husband bought a brand new (lemon) 2012 GMC Sierra 1500,6 speed automatic, extended cab, wow. A nice pick-up truck (lemon). He bought it in Sudbury, ON (Cross Town). His first brand new pick-up, he thought that he was done with buying old fixer upper. Well guess what, he has bigger problems then with his old fixer upper. Let me tell you how GMC is taking advantage of paying customers.in April he was proud to have a new truck, 2 weeks later he started having problems with the transmission, it would slip between second and third gear. There was only 1500 Km. At first he thought it was his imagination, but then it did it again the next morning. It was doing that when it was cold. He took the truck in and their responce was, " it's normal ". My husband spoke with a friend that works on transmissions they went for a drive and his friend told my husband, " that is not normal ". He took it back and they decided to change the valve body, when he got back the truck, it was doing the same thing. My husband is really angry at this time, he brings it back again, they tell him that he should drive in reverse a few feet then put it in drive and go. Well, we shouldn't have to drive in reverse before leaving for work. At that time another problem occur with the truck, he could here a clunk in the rear-end. He had to bring it back, and he told them about it and they said it was normal. They decided to change the transmission. When he went back to get his truck, the shop manager went with my husband for a test drive, and guess what, it did it again. At that point they should have kept the truck to look further for the problem, no, they let him leave with the truck. It is now October, and my husband is still fighting with GM, and still getting nowhere. Maybe there is a recalls on these trucks. My husband is tired of the BS and the run around that GM is giving him. I wish that someone out there can help us solve this matter.
I myself have a 2012 Toyota, and the service is exellent, when a problem arrise I know they can fix it, and they even wash my car after I get my oil change. Why don't GM have good service? Why don't GM fix there vehicles?
