I hired Eric Hood, Owner of Five Star Painting in Kansas City to do a very simple ceiling repair on my brand new house in Kansas City North. Mr Hood showed up and immediately tried to increase the already agreed upon price by more than $100.00 I agreed to pay the extra amount because I just wanted the ceiling fixed and to be done with it.
Eric Hood then proceeded to begin working. He ended up making the ceiling look worse and completely covered my home in drywall dust. To make things worse he then poured water onto my brand new hardwood floors liquifying the dust and embedding it down into every joint on the floor! I tried to contact Eric Hood of Five Star Painting and he would not return my phone calls. I checked with the city and he doesn't even hold a valid business license let alone insurance like he claims. When I called from a different number he answered right away and then accused me of trying to scam him and tell lies about the work he preformed. He actually had the audacity to say his repair was perfect and he left no mess behind other than perhaps a tiny bit of dust on the stairs.
Eric Hood of Five Star Painting in Kansas City ripped me off $450.00! I know I will never see my $ back but I will warn others of his scam in hopes he gets exposed for the kind of person he is.
