Green Home Renovations Inc came out in our neighborhood and visited our home selling replacement windows. We agreed in June to buy new vinyl windows from the company and paid a deposit to place our order. They agreed that the order would be placed for windows and would send out a installer to measure the windows and send the specific measurements to the factory.
The total time to order the windows would take approximately 3 weeks. After 4 weeks I called because there had been no contact. After speaking with Jason I found that they were behind and someone would be the following Friday to measure our windows. I stayed home from work because I was told I needed to be home at the time of the measuring. Nobody showed up.
I called the following Monday and left a message. I called Wednesday, left another message indicating that if we did not get a call back I wanted a refund. For 2 weeks we continued to call but heard nothing from the company. Finally I filed a BBB report on the company and was contacted by Keith Schiller the owner who indicated he had no idea these things were occuring and he wanted to make it right. He offered to come to our home on a Friday evening to discuss a possible solution or if needed refund our deposit. We agreed.
After our visit with Keith we agreed to go ahead with the windows at a discounted price. Keith promised us that he would handle everything personally and would make sure the windows were installed. He spent over an hour with us in home and assured us that things would go smoothly. We advised him we would not pay more money until the windows were installed but he kept our initial deposit.
After 2 weeks we called Keith to find out the status of the windows. He indicated they were coming in the following week from the manufacture. Since that phone call in early July we have not heard from Keith. We have called him over 20 times and left messages on his personal cell phone and his business phone number. We have indicated that we only want our deposit back and that we no longer want to do business. This company is a joke. They will take your money and run!
They break promises and contracts with no regard for their customers or business reputation. The owner Keith Schiller makes false claims and talks a good game but in the end it is all about getting your money. I believe in second chances but we had waited months for him to step up and he kept our money and ran. His website is still up and running and he is now operating without insurance in the state of Oregon. Do not do business with this company!
