I was out of town when Denver had heavy rain, and our roof leaked. My wife called AP Restoration, and they came out to give an estimate. They sent us an estimate, and a bill for $234.
They had my wife sign a "Work Authorization" contract before they would come in the house, and they are using this contract to enforce the payment.
I own many apartment buildings, and I have requested bids on 1000s of small jobs. I have never seen a company charge for giving an estimate.
Beware ever signing a contract before you get the bid, and beware of AP Restoration.
