I made a $1350 deposit for Chris Kelly at Pure Green Construction to refinish my stairs. He repeatedly promised to complete the work, but never arrived to finish the work. After it became clear he had no intention of completing the job, I asked for a refund. After weeks of of not providing the promised refund, I called to offer him the option of working off the debt. He and his wife promised to refund the money. After a month, they quit taking my calls. I called from a different number and they would answer the phone and again promise a refund.
I am a divorced mother of 3 kids with a chronic illness. I cannot afford to "give" $1350 to someone. I am very frustrated, and want to ensure this contractor does not take advantage of someone else.
