I called ARS because the air conditioning unit in my rental property was leaking water in the bathroom. The service person told me the entire unit would have to be replaced even though the current unit was less than ten years old and they had replaced that one. I asked the technician why these units had a functional warranty of less than ten years.
ARS replaced the unit at a cost of $2,400.00 and the next week my tenant called to tell me that the unit was again leaking. ARS came out again and replaced a leaky pipe that was the problem all along. I paid for a new air conditioning unit unnecessarily at a tremendous financial loss to me.
I called ARS again despite the previous incident to simply install a new kitchen faucet in the rental property. The technician said he could not turn off the water supply because the valves were stuck open. I saw him barely make an attempt to turn off the valves. He told me the valves would have to be replaced and quoted me a price of $478 dollars to replace the faulty valves and install the faucet that I had provided.
I called the facility maintenence supervisor and he installed the faucet at at cost of $50.00 dollars. There was no problem with the valves. I have used ARS on at least 5 occasions and I have finally learned my lesson and will no longer call these rip off artist for repairs of any kind.
