Not long ago I purchased a $600 futon bed from the Sams Club. It has been used twice by our guests and broke. I contacted Sams Club corporate offices and was told, in rather dismissive manner, to contact a club where I purchased that unfortunate furniture. Manager of the club has informed me that I have to contact manufacturer. When I asked about a name and address of that manufacturer, perhaps as far away as in China, he was unable to provide one.
It seems that the modus operandi of the Sams Club is to sell substandard products at inflated prices and when they break, send their victim on a wild goose chase. I find that repulsive.
