Late last month we discovered that the Aquasana water filter that was under our kitchen sink had sprung a leak on its own after working well for several years. The leak had apparently been going on for several weeks and when we pulled out the cabinet flooring, it was obvious that the particle board subfloor had soaked up a lot of water and was ruined. What was also obvious was that at the very least, the cabinets would have to all come out because of mold concerns. This all started the same week that Joni found out she had to have emergency spinal surgery.
After calling the company, furious that our kitchen had basically been ruined by a $129 filter, I finally was referred to Aaron Little, Sales Director for Aquasana. After sending Aaron Little around 40 good quality photos of the damage, Aquasana agreed that it was their fault and told us to get two estimates for repair.
