In March, I was a victim of the north Amarillo wildfires. I lost mostly landscaping, along with horse fencing and a horse trailer. I hired an Amarillo landscaping company, Discount Lawn & Tree to replant, replace, and remove all landscaping, fencing, retainer walls, railroad ties, and concrete filler that was burned in the fire. The company asked for half the amount upfront ($3800) and a cashier's check was given to the owner, Mike Davis, and the contract was signed on June 6.
Over the course of one month, this company worked one day on my property (5 hours) and made excuses over the phone as to why they had not returned to work on my property. The owner informed me by email that his company had ordered my landscaping supplies (railroad ties) from a Colorado wholesale distributor. When Discount Lawn & Tree never showed up with the railroad ties, I contacted the only two wholesale distributors in Colorado and neither distributor had any order for Discount Lawn & Tree or for the owner, Mike Davis.
