It's hard to believe but I have the invoice #5881 right here. Replace 1/2" copper line 1 hr $195.00.

I asked the worker a direct question about his rate but he refused to awnser it, I should have thrown him out at that moment.

Since posting in a Tahoe Donner Homeowners forum I recieved this response;

He gouged my partner $1300 (THIRTEEN HUNDRED DOLLARS) to replace a 50 gallon electric hot water heater. You can get an electric hot water heater at ACE Mountain Hardware for about $350. And should take no more than 2-3 hours to
install.

Stay away from this guy!!!
