I contacted RentSource after seeing several properties listed by them on various sites. Through their site, I signed up and paid the $85 fee. The information I got back on each listing was either totally inaccurate or information that I already had - from the same sites - for free. Apartments were listed as houses, and properties that had been rented for a month and whose owner had never heard of RentSource were listed (with inaccurate room counts).
When I called RentSource directly to ask about the inaccurate information, I was hung up on. I called again, asking about the hangup, the inaccurate information, and multiple online reports listing their business as a scam. The owner (I presume - he referred to "his" listings) replied that the Better Business Bureau was itself a scam and again hung up on me.
I'm trying to dispute the charge with my bank, but I don't forsee it going well. I only hope that others will see this and take it as a warning.
