I called the company to have a technician come out to look at the furnace as it was not running. The technician came, spent 15 minutes looking, made a hasty diagnosis and left. We were told if we bought a furnace from him we could take the service charge off of the cost of the furnace but the cost of the new furnace was about two times the amount we ended up paying another dealer for comperable quality! (Same BTU rating.)
When we called about the service charge of $160.00 for doing almost nothing, they would not discuss it with us. We refused to pay as this is robbery with a license to steal and they sent it to collections which damaged our credit rating. We would have been willing to pay something for their time and travel but really... $160.00 for 15 minutes of time???
Especially if you are older, avoid this dealer as we strongly suspect the attempted extortion had something to do with being older!
