In August I entered into a contact with Carpet Mills of America to carpet all areas in my house, except where otherwise noted. When the installers came, they immediately went to work. At 1 P.M. They all left my house and waited outside. My salesman called and stated he made an error in measuring. They ran short of carpet and wanted me to pay an additional $685.00 to finish the job. I refered them to their contract. I told them I had a contract for the agreed price, and I expected them to complete the job. They refused.in addition to their mistake, they broke $1100.00 dollars worth of collectables, which they refused to pay for. I withheld the balance of the money due. Under Texas law, we had a signed and sealed contract.
They attempted to put a mechanics lien on my property. I got an attorney. $1000.00 dollars later in legal fees I am now going to court. With my evidence of pictures of the job not being completed and a box of broken collectables, I am sure the judge will see Carpet Mills of America for what they are. A DISHONEST FLOORING COMPANY WHO LIES CHEATS AND STEALS.
They are suing me for the balance due.
This company is under handed, sneaky, and unreputable.
Looks like court will be in May
