Had windows and siding installed in fall and winter 2008. Routinely late and missed appointments during the month and a half install process. One window was clearly incorrectly measured wrong, but the installation crew filled with foam instead of ordering new one.
Several months later, part of window trim blew off. When I called Champion, they said their installation warranty did not cover "wind damage" even though it was just a routine blustery day. Now a large section of siding blew off immediately above where the trim previously blew off. Again, it was just a blustery day and not part of a significant storm.
I have been trying unsuccessfully for nearly a month to get Champion to come out and make the repair despite repeated assurances they'll be out the next day, or in two days, etc etc.
The product itself (windows and siding) appear to be good quality; but beware of the install workmanship and lack of service. If I had it to do over, I would have utilized a different company.
