Duramade Windows would not honor a contract they signed. They attempted a bait and switch tactic to try and get us to change the contract as signed. Five weeks, after the contract was signed, they indicated that they had obtained a building permit and had ordered the windows. As we checked with
The county, the permit had never been requested and the windows not ordered - a delay tactic on their part. The entire project was to have been completed within these five weeks.
Five phone call messages to five different representatives of the company were made. Not a single return call on their part. Also, I had asked that the VISA charge not be submitted until the windows were actually ordered. Duramade submitted the charge the day following the signed contract. Five weeks later, the windows had still not been ordered. Lucky for me I used my VISA charge and had the bank credit my account for the $4,000. Deposit after the five week period.
This company is a scammer and would suggest that no one get involved with them. Remember you have been warned.
The Clearwater BBB does not accredit Southern Energy Systems or Duramade Windows. They seem to operate under several different company names using the name of the product for each different product they represent. Good luck to anyone who deals with them.
