I signed a contract with U.S. Energy Windows on 12/7/06 to install 4 Anderson Windows supplies by me. After signing the contract I went and ordered the windows and payed for them in full.
2 days later I got a call from the owner Mr. Klein the owner stating they don't install Anderson windows and he wanted to refund my money. My contract clearly states installation of Anderson Windows so I asked him what I was suppose to do with the windows I just ordered. I also stated that I made sure not to order the windows until I had an installer. He called me back and said he has hired a "special crew to install the windows" and not to worry. I set a date for installation and called to have the windows delivered. On Feb. 1 I called the office and spoke with Myer who said the crew would be there on Feb 3 to install the windows. On Feb. 2 the sub-contractor came by the house and said he was a crew of 1 and that the office never told him they were 2nd story windows. He said he would try to get another man to come in that afternoon to help him but he would start the job by himself. He said he would be by Feb. 3rd at 9:00am to start the installation but it would probably take 2 days not 1.
He never showed up; after 3 phone calls to the sub-contractor he finally called me back. He said that when he went by the office it was closed and they never left him a signed contract nor a deposit for my job so he couldn't come. Of course the office was closed on Saturday but I did leave 3 wild messages on Mr. Klein's voice mail. I have had to make special arrangement for my 88 year old Mother with Alzhimers who I care for to be able to have the installation done. My house upside down moving everything away from the windows. I now have windows sitting in my garage and I am unable to put a car in.
I do not want my money refunded but I do want U.S. Energy to forfill their contract. I also want to let other people know my experience with U.S. Energy Windows so they don't make the same mistake I did. I am a fighter but not everyone is.
