Four separate incidents of our a/c quitting has resulted in four separate technicians with four separate diagnoses and at least 3 separate fees. It appears that we have a freon leak that has finally caused the outside compressor to over heat and sieze up. I called in an Emergency request on May 29th, reporting that I am a 72 year old guy who had surgery three days earlier and that I also have serious chronic respiratory problems which are exacerbated by heat and humidity. The end of the story is that I was told by my AHS "Case Manager" today that the compressor that they ordered wouldn't be in until June 7th, or later. They will only use their own parts from their own source, thus causing a delay of 10 days or more. That's totally unacceptable and sadly similar to the battles I've had with managed care health insurance companies on behalf of my patients (psychologist). They want your money and will provide minimal and ill-timed responses until you give up and go away.
