Scott Hanson of Atlantis Poolscapes of the Dallas area has stolen money from us (& others). He takes your money and then doesn't finish your pool. He has breached the contract. (more than one contract actually).
He's a habitual liar continually making promises and NEVER following through.
He cheats you such as making you pay twice for things or giving you an "upcharge" when it isn't necessary.
His work is substandard — poor quality.
He is unbelievably rude & disrespectful to his customers. I've never been treated so rudely in my life!
He introduces his wife as his "assistant" and his daughter & her boyfriend have been "workers" at our house. It's really a one-man operation.
He has a complete lack of professional ethics (as does his wife). I could write pages of examples about this topic.
He has several bad reports filed against him with the Better Business Bureau and several more on the way (including ours). We're probably going to have to sue him. He won't finish the pool or give us any of our money back. He won't even communicate with us.
He pulled a gun on a guy that was one of the people Scott has ripped off.
His subcontractors that we've talked to had several interesting things to say about Scott. For example, one company even refuses to answer the phone when Scott calls much less work with him again. Another company said they'll only work with Scott if he pays in cash in full when the service is done, etc. They know how he cannot be trusted and how unethical he is.
We're in touch with a few more people that Scott has done the same thing to (i.E., ripped them off). They also have interesting stories.
Scott is an unethical person and businessman. He has an unbelievable temper, and he has a very short fuse. When I talked to the police about him, they were worried about my safety.
Notice, he will not give out his home phone number or address and now not even his cell number. He doesn't want you to be able to reach him if he doesn't want to be reached by you... Which will most likely end up happening.
They have somewhat of a small office that I've never known them to work from. If his wife, his "assistant", answers the work phone, it's usually from their home.
Scott has dealt with lawyers and court before and I've heard how he even lost his cool then. I personally think this man could be dangerous.
