I stopped in to Paul B Moyer & Son to have the pull cord on my Weedeater Power Edger replaced. The guy at the service deck insisted that the repair cost would be too great and pushed me to invest the cash in new $300 dollar edger.
His rationale was it was a difficult job to disassemble the edger to get to the pull cord & spring assembly an that the cost of the repair time would outweigh the cost of the machine..
I went online and found a youtube video. Apparently removing 3 screws and nut to get to the spring assembly is too challenging for this authorized Weedeater repair center.
