MetroWest Builders Crescent Builders Metro West Realtors Iqbal Ali Nicole Simmarano Deceptive, lying, unethical builder and horrible realto

Buying a house should be fun and exciting, but our experience as first home buyers have been ruined by Metrowest Builders AKA Crescent Builders and MetroWest Realtors. Both companies I believe are owned by Iqbal Ali. His listed business address is in Shrewsbury, but also operates out of here:
222 Turnpike Road, Suite 3
Westborough, MA 01581

Developments he has developed or is developing:
Winter Heights - Completed
Edgewater Estates - still building
Another one in Hopkington

The first time we meet him he was extremely rude and did not even appear to be willing to talk to us. That should have been our first sign. As soon as we gave him our deposit, we started to notice that our calls were never returned. Iqbal Ali does not give out his number so everything goes through his realtor, Nicole Simmarano. I don't know how she got her realtor license because she knows nothing about selling houses or dealing with customers. She basically acts like a buffer between angry customers, (there are many), and the builder.
Everytime we ask her a question or request something to be done, it never gets done and no return calls to update us.

Even though our purchase and sales clearly stated the closing date of our house, the builder did not meet the dealine. We waited for a month before requesting a extention letter to state that the house would be delivered within 30 days.
The deadline rolls around and still no house. We ended up paying thousands to keep our low rate which by then had risen by 1% over what we had locked in for.

During the building process, our sink we bought was stolen from the site and they denied responsibility. We dropped off fixtures, etc. Which were never installed until weeks later. They are very unorganized and it reflects in their work.

We finally closed 3 months after the stated closing date and we found out from a vendor that works with the builder that we had over paid for installation. We contacted them immediately and were told they would take care of it. Did they? You guessed it, NOTHING was done. Iqbal Ali has lied to my face several time that he would call and take of it and even went as far as to tell me he would send me the money within a week. Finally after 4 months of calling, tracking the builder down we decided to send a 30 day demand of payment notice. Under Massachusetts law Chapter 93A, Section 9 if they did not make a good-faith response within 30 days he would be subject triple the damages.
This got his attention. The day after we faxed the letter I had a check waiting for me in my mail box.

This is the M. O of the builder. He will not do anything until he is threatened by legal action.

Many neighbors I've spoken to have had lawyers contact Iqbal Ali to force him to come and make repairs to their houses. We have a laundry list of things that need to be fixed and it has been 2 months without any results.

As a consumer I expect to be treated with some respect and honesty, but MetroWest Builders, MetroWest realtors do not care about us.
So please stay away from them if possible.
