I started looking for a linear log supplier and came across Log Home Direct, Loghomes4less, Stacey Gaylord. He was very pleasant to talk with, guided us through the process, kept in touch and went out of his way when we had a problem getting the energy compliance passed. He was very professional.
When it came to the week of delivery, Stacey notified us that there was trouble with their equipment, a die that cuts the logs had broke and may not be able to make deadline. Offered a refund, I asked that we change profile shape of the log to stay on deadline and he ignored but said he was trying to work out the problem. After the day before delivery it was confirmed that we were not getting the logs, After the weekend was over, we received an email apologizing and he did offer a full refund. We responded with send out a check over night.
It has been a week and still have not received a check, we did talk with him once and he said he was talking to the accounting department and will contact us when it goes out. He will not return calls or emails now, and is avoid us.
We have had to delay our contractors, lost one because of this and lost our deposit with that contractor $ our floor system is open to the elements and will probably have to be redone. We are now out $7659.73 our deposit from log homes direct, and found out little too late that he has done this before, not coming through on contracted supplies.
