Ripoff Refuses to repair furniture delivered with damage

My husband and I purchased a couch, loveseat, chair and ottoman from The Roomstore in September. We have paid nothing for it as there is no interest and no payments until April.

It was delivered to my mother's address in Devine, TX shortly after the purchase. My mom was there at the time of the delivery. When I called her to ask about the furniture she said that when she sat in each piece of furniture (except the ottomon) she noticed that the cardboard under the fabric was popping due to not enough stuffing in the arms.

I promptly called the Roomstore the next day who transferred me to their repair service. They notified me that they will just deliver new furniture because they can not repair furniture on Saturday's as we need.

The furniture they brought had more damage to the arms and the delivery guy said that he would not accept it so they took it back. I called again to the Roomstore (210-697-8380) and spoke with Laura. She referred me to Yvonne in Dallas (corporate office). Yvonne said that they would deliver the furniture on the next Sunday. They never came.

I called Yvonne the next day and she said that she didn't know that they did not deliver to my area on Sunday. Then she said that a new set of furniture will be delivered the next Friday. I was a little perturbed about doing this again, but she ASSURED me that the management at the warehouse would personally inspect my furniture.

It was delivered that Friday with the worst damage to the arms I have ever seen. The delivery men said that it is obviously a manufacturer's defect.

Another Monday came with another call to Yvonne. She said that she would set up for a repairman to come to the home and repair it. My mom was still on disability from her job at that time, so she was able to be home when the repairman was there. She said all the did was ASSES the damage and I would have to call again for another appointment!

I was infuriated but I got another appointment for a few weeks later because my mom had to go back to work so I got my grandma to stay at the home and wait for the repairman. They never showed up or even called! They called me the following day on my cell phone to re-schedule. When I asked why they did not come the previous day, they said that they didn't have a phone number for me even though they were calling me on one!

I made ANOTHER appointment for February 13th. On the 12th of February, a man called me to confirm the appointment for the next day. I asked if he was going to fix the problem with the padding. His reply was "If I have time." He stated to me that he had no previous information on the Roomstore and said that he will have to contact them because this is "losing him money."

Well, I had about had it. My husband called the Roomstore to get their corporate phone number. He has been in touch with Ana Ortega from corporate. She has been rude & sarcastic when he asked if we can just return the furniture. She asked him, "Why would we stay at home to wait for the furniture to be picked up if we won't stay at home to wait for the repairman again?" She refuses to return our phone calls and will not find a company to repair the furniture on Saturdays. Her phone # is: 972-606-9096. Please help us!
