My wife and I wanted to take advantage of their no interest, no payments till 2006 sale so we could buy a new mattress. We chose one that cost well over $1,000. We told the salesperson we wanted the two-year deal. After the credit check was done, she tells us we didn't meet the criteria.
We do not have a negative credit history. We have several credit accounts in good standing. So, she's taken the liberty to approve us for a six months no interest deal. Then, she tells us that we would probably need to come back on Saturday because she does not know how to write up the contract.
If we didn't qualify for a low to no payment plan for 24 months, how can we qualify for a shorter term high payment plan for six months? It just seems like they lure people to their store and pull the bait and switch routine with their financing.
We told her to forget about it. There was no effort made to keep us from leaving. Terrible customer service attitude!
