Steve Weaver is in short, a con man. He will take your money in a heartbeat and not complete the job. He came to my house claiming he could complete the remodel and painting we required. He called consistantly after giving us a quote. Probably should have been a red flag because none of the others did so. From the start we were concerned about his abilities. Also the eight man crew he claimed to have standing by never appeared. What he did bring into our home were young men on probation one regulary smelling of alcohol. He claimed the job would be complete in two weeks, we are now into week five with no real results. He will only work on average two to three hours a day. The two days he has stayed late was followed by a plea for more money. The small amount of work he has done is shoddy and very unprofessional. My wife and I are touching up the paint throughout the house because he apparently cannot see the spots he missed. He has painted and textured our furniture because he is careless and disrepectful of other peoples belongings. If I were not a regular viewer of the DIY network our shower stall would have certainly leaked. I had to download the proper installation procedures and force him to bring the job up to code. He consistently fails to show up at all or answer his phone. When he finally does, he offers up a host of elaborate excuses for not working. He has failed to produce the building materials that we paid for in advance despite be asked to do so. We have a mountain of trash in our backyard. I have been contacted by his painter and informed that Steve refuses to pay him. This individual is filing a police report against Steve. I have contacted the authorities and at the time of this post he is currently being investigated by the Harris County District Attorneys Office on a seperate matter from ours. The investigators there are establishing a pattern of fraud against him and I'm sure our case will help put him away. We will be filing both criminal and civil charges against him. Please don't be taken in by this thief as we were.
