To whom it may concern: shamokin-coal twp. Sewage dept. Is an has been charging for services that are not be rendered. A couple years ago the sewage dept. Did not charge vacant homes for services because no one was living in the home rescently they did an upgrade to the system and decided to charge a 50% charge of the actual monthly cost for sewage to vacant homes. I feel this is very unjust and and to the point even criminal for being charged for something you are not even getting. I had spoken to the sewage deptartment on numerous occations reguarding this matter and they stated that they have to get the money to pay for the upgrade somewhere even if your not using the sewage service. I feel this is a serious situation and should be investigated within the laws of the state. It is illegal in pa. To charge someone for something they do not receive. The home in question does not even have a bathroom in it the floor is ripped out and the sewage pipe is disconnected. And they continue to bill me monthly for absolutly nothing. I ask you to please look into this matter for it does not just effect me but other homes that are vacant that are being charged these illegal charges. Ty so much MICHAEL PENNELL
