I ordered a Dwarf Yapon Holly Shohin Bonsai from "The Bonsai Guy" (a.K.A. Chuck Conyers) and never rec'd my bonsai, nor a refund.
He said he was going to ship it after the "Florida Bonsai Society's annual convention."
It didn't come.
A month later, I complained and he said his wife had died. He said he had "cranked" his "bonsai hobby and business" into high gear and that my tree would go out on "Monday."
Of course, it never arrived then, either.
A year later, I demanded a refund of my $61.69 and made mention of seeing online that he taught classes at Leu Gardens.
I received an email reply from someone claiming to be his son, saying his dad would "straighten this matter out" when he got back into town. He said he's talk to his dad that night when he called and would get the paypal password so he could issue a refund himself. He then claimed his dad was "not dishonest."
Of course, I never heard another word from either one of them.
