Creative Concrete Never completed work that he was paid for, never return money as promised

Tadd has hired to replace a concrete driveway at our Grand Rapids home in June. He never completed the work associated with the installation of the new concrete drive that we paid in full just prior to completion - at Tadd's request due to material costs.
Tadd promised to come back and complete the removal of a retaining wall; grading of adjacent dirt; and the grass seeding and stabilation of the adjacent ground abutting the new drive.
After Tadd failed to return for two months to complete this work and after we had placed dozens of phone calls to him, we performed the work ourselves. However, it was too late in the year for the grass seed to grow and most of the hill washed out over the following winter and spring months.
Tadd later made several promises to return our money related to this work, but he never did. We are now taking Tadd to court. Save yourself the trouble and headache of dealing with this quick-talking idiot!
