Collins builders was going to build my family a house they had me sign a contract and put 3000.00 dollars binder down. They also made me get a full approval from my bank when all you need is a preapproval letter, but one week after I signed the contract they decided to do an appraisal on there own and the house didn't appraise for enough, but they did not tell us right then. They waited three weeks later to tell us after they were getting ready to build some else's house on our lot. They didn't offer me the option to pay the difference or anything. They cost me the 8000 dollar tax credit and the interest rate just went up so they cost us thousands more money in long run.in my book they are dirty dirt bags and I wouldn't let my worst enemy buy from them. They claim to be a Christian company, but when they handle people and buisness in this manner that tells me, they are liars.
