On October 15 at about 3:45 P.M. I went to the Furniture Max store at the Office Max, which is located at the northwest corner of Alma School Rd. And Southern Rd., in response to a flyer that advertised a "Fall Furniture Clearance Event!" I was specifically looking for some items advertised on the flyer.
I was met by Chris in the Furniture Max, and I told him that I wanted to see the clearance items. I wanted to get a folding table and a nice cherry filing cabinet. Chris told me that they didn't have any. When I pointed out the advertising that said they did, he told me those were only examples of things they might have on sale.
I then asked to see the supervisor. An individual named Raymond met me and told me that they did not have any of those item for clearance "right now." I confronted him with the flyer that clearly stated that they had "Files" and "Folding Tables" on clearance. I also pointed out that this was a bait and switch advertisement. Raymond said that there was nothing more he could do. Perhaps I should check later.
I took the flyer with me and left. I do not expect that I will be able to ever get satisfaction from them voluntarily. I am sending a copy of the flyer in hopes that you can help me.
