My husband and I are in the process of buying a house and have been searching every furniture store known to man for items that match out woodwork. After what seemed like an endless weekend of shopping at tons of stores we ended our day at Levin's. To begin I'll tell you that every store was having their "spring sale" and that at every store the "sale ends today" so the first thing we heard walking through the door was a salesperson telling us to hurry up because its the last day of the sale. I walked into Levin's and the sales person asked us if we wanted some help or would we rather just browse for now (not even mentioning the sale that signs tell me "ends today" we told him what our woodwork was like and what we were looking for and he pointed out a few items (that fit well with what we told him) and told us to look around for a while and let him know if we had any questions. He didn't follow us around like the other salespeople did at the other stores but he was there to answer questions and help when we asked. At the end of our trip he came to us and told us to make sure we don't rush into anything because financing furniture before our homeloan went through could ding our credit and put the home loan in jeopardy. He also pointed out that even though the advertised sale ended today... Tomorrow there would be another and every day after that there would always be a sale. He assured us that we should take our time and not let anyone pressure us into buying until we were sure we found what we wanted and that its within our budget. There was so much more that I could say about this store and this salesperson but I'm running out of time (oh and by the way... We went to other Levin locations and they were all wonderful! -I LOVE the way they train their people!)
