I have rented at a CIP Apartment Property for 3 years.
Within the third year I purchased a home, knowing that I would have to break the lease being charged the $350.00 dollar fee which happens to be equal the security deposit on the apartment.
My lease was active until October 31, so I authorized the rental agent to place my apartment on the market to be rented. I continued to pay my rent in full while the apartment was empty and I no longer living there to a tune of $ 85.00 dollars.
I week within the month of June with (Rent Paid) I was unable to gain access into my apartment, the the locks had been changed knowing by the management. Furthermore they want me to keep the utilities activated until they rented the unit which was scheduled to be re-rented July 11.
CIP billed me for my pro-rated rent which was okay but has ripped me off for $226.69 in maintenance bogus charges for cleaning and replacing a microwave cover panel and door trim cover along with the half of month of utilities. This company truly believes in ripping off their tenants is everyway possible, including stealing their security deposits.
