Misleading, innacurrate, outdated foreclosure real estate information

I am a Realtor here in Salt Lake City that specializes in bank owned properties. I have received many calls from people that got my name from the CRN website about properties that are no longer listed, or sold many months ago, or even associated with properties that are/were listed with another agent. The properties that I was/am representing, had completely wrong information (for example a home listed for $220K on the MLS was on their website for $157k).

This misrepresentation is illegal in the State of Utah and is a violation of the Civil Code and Real Estate laws. I contacted CRN to have my name removed from their website and they said that they have no way of doing that and have no control over the information for their listings as they are provided by other parties, banks, government etc. I work with these banks and lenders every day, and there is no way that they would ever give distribute such wrong information about their properties.

All the hopeful buyers that have contacted me are out of money and have been having problems getting refunds. Fortunately I have been able to help some get accurate, customized and FREE lists of bank owned properties. But it still upsets me greatly that so many are getting misleading information and losing money for it.

This information is always available for FREE from your Realtor who can give you much more important, accurate and timely information about these properties. Never pay anyone for this info!
