I went to her store and put several pcs of furniture in layway. I was in the process of buying a home at that and it was not finished being bulit at that time. Some of the pcs I put in layaway I had request that she cancel them because they were going to be too big for my house. She was fine with that ad put the funds to the other layway slips. I put a total of 450 on a 5,000 layway (after I cancelled a few pcs it was about 2-3000). I only had it in layway for a little over a month.
I was working a lot of overtime so I get things that I would need for my first home. Judy called my house at 10 am one morning talking about some leopard chair that she order. Nothing in my house was going to be leopard. She knew that f*ing chair was not going to match. Then she called another morning to see "how I was doing."
I got upset after the first few times and told not call my house before 12pm, not only did I work but my grnadmother works also, and we don't want to be bother before 12pm.
She had her soon call me a few days later asking when I was coming to make a pymt (her slip stated that a monthy pymt had to be) I told him that I would try to make it over there in a few days. After a few days he called again stating that his mother was disappointed that I did not make it and was wondering what happened. I told him that I do work, I did not have time too keep going to their store looking at the same stuff, and that I'll be there before the month was over or I'll mail the pymt.
My friend took her aunt to the store and Judy kept asking my friend (my friend went to her sotre with me one time) if I was mad at her, why haven't I called her, did I spend my money somewhere else, etc. My friend called me to tell me what she saying and calling her crazy for acting like that. She made her aunt feel uncomfortable that she did not want to buy anything from her. The last week of July Judy called and asked me again if I was coming to make a pymt.
I told her I'll try. Three days before the month end her son called talking about a pymt. I said enough was enough. I told him to stop calling me and to cancel my layway slips and I'll be there soon for my store credit. I told him that I did not appreciate being harassed about a pymt that wasn't late.
He said okay and we hung up. Judy calls right after that and I did not answer. I have caller id. Judy called me at least 9 times. She called from her store phone, her cell, her son's cell, and her house phone. At around 9pm she left a very nasty and threatening message on my answering machine.
I still have the tape. She stated that if I did not call her back that she would charge me 2500 for a RESTOCKING FEE. I called her store once I heard the message and told her to stop calling me and that I'll be there for my store credit (I left a message because it was late when I heard the message).
On her slip it states subject to a 25% restocking fee, but she stated that's for peolpe who cancels once she order the funriture and they don't like it. How in the world can she charge me a restocking fee when she NEVER order the funiture? What is she restocking? The paper? I paid only 450 towards my funiture which I still owed over 2,000 for.
NO one will order ANYTHING unless they have half the funds or paid in full. Why would I pay her that if she never ordered anything? If I paid her 2500 I would be paying for nothing.
I did report her to the BBB they are full of it. She lied to them and wrote this bogus letter. She lied and stated that she sent me this letter trying to resolve the matter and included that I owe her 2500 for a restocking fee. SHe never sent that letter because on the slips the address was to my new home, which was till being built, it was not register with the post office yet.
It was on a vacant lot and four other houses were being bulit. So the letter would had been returned to her. She claims that I did not respond.
Then she told them that she did not have my number but yet I have ALL her numbers on my caller id and her message on answering maching.
The BBB did not want to see that she was lying. So they did nothing to help. I'm in the process with the Consumer of Protection to see if they can help and have her investagated.
She rips off the tags to her furniture which is illegal, she marks up the prices x2 which is wrong, and she harass her customers if their not satisfied. I've never heard of Wickes or Levin's calling and harassing their customer's or leaving nasty messages on peolpes home phones. She needs to be stopped. She tried the same mess another friend of mines but my friend is crazy. She told Judy that she'll F* her up about her money.
So Judy gave her a store credit but charged her an extra 100 for the chair. I did not want want to go that route for I don't want to loose my govt job about her silliness. I'm willing and ready to go to the media to expose her and fraudulent and harassment activties. Her sell slips say no cash refund store credit only.
I don't want a store creidt so she can lie and say I broke something or try to charge me double because she don't have no prices on her furniture. She covers her furniutre book with cloth so you can't see who makes the furniture. That's illegal.
I have at least 3 others whom I met that she's done this bull too. I can try to get their numbers if need to.
