I know more than one person whose lives were ruined by trusting this walking garbage can. I can't list all of the ways he screws people, but here are some tips.
He is not a member of any Builders Association or Chamber in the cities he rips people off in. He moves back and forth to various cities when one gets too "hot." Verify any claims of "greenbelts" or other claims he makes and demandhe put them in writing. He routinely charges additional $3-5,000 forphony "greenbelts" even to "friends" he has known for years. Do not take his worthless word for anything. Check the city building office/register of deeds. Make sure greenbelt is listed in your property description.
His houses are pretty on the outside, but shoddy inside (walls, pipes, plumbing, electrical, foundation). Beware of mold, fires, floods and other damage risks in his brand new homes. Make sure your inspector goes over everything with a fine-toothed comb.
Once he's suckered you into buying a house, he stonewalls on repairs, making people call over and over. Most of the people give up and do itthemselves, which is his intention. Even when you can get him to make repairs, he refuses to providedocumentation on the service calls. (That way, you have no proof forclaims.)
If you are still foolish enough to buy from this creep, get everything in writing!!! And I mean every single, tiny, thing. If he says it, make sure it's written down in the contract. It will help if you decide to sue him. Do not trust this man.
