The ad on Careerbuilder stated Event Coordinator, and it touted charitable organizations like D.A.R.E. As one of their clients. Upon recieving a congatulatory e-mail, I was "selected" to interview. The 8 minute interview was vague and not professionally done, so I was suspicious about the company. I asked questions about the job and was told very generic answers, which REALLY made me wary. The man told me if I was willing to see what the job was about to come back on Mon. And a coordinator would show me. HOME DEPOT was the client that we would be working with. At this point I knew it was some sort of scam, but wanted to do some homework on the company before I closed the door and moved on. Found this web site and suspicions were confirmed, but still wanted to see first hand how slimy these people were. Monday, went and ws asked to sign a form, upon refusal, the "HR" manager brought me to the office and upon confronting her, the job is actually commissioned sales selling installed sales at HOME DEPOT. If you sell, you get paid, if not, you stood around all day for no pay. Problem is... This is not illegal... UNETHICAL to the Nth degree, but, not illegal. As for me, I have contacted both DARE and HOME DEPOTS legal departments and they will be looking in on the hiring practices of these leeches and pariahs. Beware of this company...
